Frederick B. Sainick is a partner in the Newport Beach law firm of Sainick and Whitney. The firm practices civil law, primarily in the business, real estate, litigation and estate planning areas. Sainick has been practicing law in Newport Beach since 1978.
Since the early 1980s, Sainick has been active with the UCI Alumni Association and with the Orange County Bar Association. From 1985 to 1987, Sainick was the President of the UCIAA and he has been Vice President of Finance and Secretary of the Association, in addition to serving for periods on the Finance Committee, Legislative Relations Committee, Membership Committee, and Scholarship Committee. Sainick has received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Humanities and he served as an Alumni Regent on the Board of Regents for the 10 campus UC System. In addition, Fred has sat on numerous search committees and other system-wide and campus committees.
Sainick has served on the Orange County Bar Association’s Client Relations Committee for over 25 years and is a long-time member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Business Litigation Section and the Real Property Section. Sainick was also active, in the past decade, in the judicial selection process for the Orange County Superior Court.
Throughout his career, Sainick has a spent time on community matters and events away from UCI and the OCBA. He has been a member of the Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association, served as a press liaison for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, served on the Irvine Junior Olympics’ Steering Committee, served as a tribal chief for the YMCA Guides program, spent 8 years as a Pony League coach in Irvine, spent 7 years as a basketball league commissioner, and he is a founding member of the Great Park Conservancy.
Fred and his wife, Pam, have raised four children in Irvine.
