UCI Care-a-thon

With all of the support of our sponsors, donors, and attendees, UCI Care-a-thon 2016 was able to raise $30,293 for the babies at the UCI Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit! 100% of donations are going to support stem cell research to find a cure for chronic lung disease in premature babies. Thank you to all of our participants for being an advocate for change for our UCI community! #Dance4Babies

First started in 2008, UCI Care-a-thon is a 6-hour dance marathon which benefits the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the UCI Medical Center. It is a UCI's largest student-run philanthropy event, organized by the Student Alumni Association. Hundreds of UCI students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends come together and pledge to dance for 6 hours in solidarity with the newborns that fight for their lives in the NICU every day. Since its inception (including this Feb. 2016's donations), students have succeeded in raising more than $100,000!

With a strong community behind it, UCI Care-a-thon can make a BIG difference to Orange County's tiniest patients. Join us in helping UCI lead the way to creating a healthier future for babies worldwide!
