Leadership Development, Experian

UC Irvine – 2014, B.S., engineering

UC Irvine – 2019, MBA

Upon receiving her MBA in 2019, Joy joined Experian as a member of the MBA Leadership Development Program. Upon completion of this 2 year program she will be placed in leadership role at Experian.

Having had a career in software engineering (with roles in Product Management, Software Development, Systems Engineering and QA/Test Engineering), Joy chose to pursue an MBA to further develop her interests in strategy and the human side of business. While at the Paul Merage School of Business, Joy concentrated her MBA in Strategy as it pertains to Digital Transformation.

Joy joined the Young Alumni Council since she wanted to give back to the school that has given her so much. Through UCI Joy has gained a community, friends, 2 degrees, new careers and access to a better life. As an immigrant herself, Joy hopes her experiences can better support the growing number of first generation college students and graduates at UCI.

As for hobbies, Joy is an outdoor and travel enthusiast. She loves being outside, at the beach, on a trail, hiking, camping, doing yoga or SCUBA diving. She also enjoys learning about other cultures and trying new foods while visiting new places.
