Nithin Jilla is a passionate educator, social entrepreneur and philanthropist who champions building models and systems of social change that are sustainable and empower the next generation. Nithin serves as the executive director of Dreams for Schools (DFS), an organization he started during his time at UC Irvine, which was named Non-Profit of the Year in 2018 in the OC. The mission of DFS is to make STEM approachable and accessible to all. By providing the right tools and experiences, DFS helps improves students' STEM literacy and empowers them to become the critical thinkers, creative leaders and technologists of tomorrow. Nithin is also involved with philanthropic family foundations and serves as the Chief Business Development Officer for SwizzMagik, an OC-based technology firm that drives technology and innovation forward with software solutions for businesses across various sectors.
In addition, Nithin is also a community leader and serves on several non-profit and advisory boards which include the National Asian American Community Foundation, Orange County Excellent Public Schools Initiative, Harbor Day School, and OC Grantmakers. He was previously a founding member and Chair of the UC Irvine Young Alumni Council.
Nithin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at UC Irvine.
